Human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived cardiac in vitro models
TCDM offers expertise and research services related to utilising human induced pluripotent stem cell (hiPSC)-derived cardiomyocytes, endothelial cells and cardiac fibroblasts to model human heart physiology and disease with high translational relevance. These in vitro systems enable for example mechanistic studies of cardiac hypertrophy, fibrosis, regeneration, metabolic remodelling, and contractility, as well as cardiotoxicity assessment for small molecules, biologics, and gene therapies. The cells can be used as monocultures or as co-cultures of two or three cell types in 2D or 3D formats. The models can also be customized with patient-specific hiPSC lines or gene-edited variants.
