We provide a 4-channel multi myograph instrument for in vitro study of almost any size of blood vessel contraction studies. Each single unit has a stainless steel chamber where the segment supports are positioned. In the chamber the test sample is attached to a force transducer and micropositioner. The preparations in all chambers are kept under physiological conditions prior and during the experiments.The circumference of the vessel is kept constant, i.e. the vessels are examined under isometric conditions. Compounds to be studied, are added directly to the chamber and vessel tension is measured for contractile or relaxing effects of the tested compound.
